National Stalking Awareness Week

This past week has been National Stalking Awareness Week (16th-20th April). Here's a link for it:

This is something I feel very strongly about and several years ago I did some research on this topic which I shall share on this blog. Stalking is a very serious issue which has been around for centuries. Stalking can be institutional, a community, on social media or closer to home. It's highly complex because it need not be obvious who the stalker(s) are because it can be conducted indirectly. That is to say, the person who is the main stalker can act as an orchestrator who has other people doing the more in-person/direct stalking for them. This makes it harder to track and makes the person being stalked have a harder time reporting the crime to put an end to the stalking which is causing them psychological and emotional harm.
